Death Announcement: Senior Judge Wilkes Coleman Robinson, 1925-2015

Senior Judge Wilkes Coleman Robinson, of the United States Court of Federal Claims, died Monday, May 11, 2015. Judge Robinson was appointed to the United States Court of Federal Claims by President Ronald Reagan on May 7, 1987. He formally retired on July 31, 1997, but continued to serve the court during periods of recall as a Senior Judge.

Judge Robinson was born in Anniston, Alabama in 1925. He graduated from the University of Alabama, receiving an A.B. degree in 1948 and from the University of Virginia School of Law, receiving a LL.B. degree in 1951.

Judge Robinson served his country in the United States Naval Reserve from 1943 to 1944. He was in private practice for many years and held numerous positions as counsel for private corporations. Immediately before his appointment to the court he served as vice president and general counsel to the SR Financial Group, Inc.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Anglican Church, 250 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin, Florida 32541.
