Jennifer A. Shah was appointed as a Special Master of the United States Court of Federal Claims on August 12, 2024. Ms. Shah graduated from Williams College in 1993 with a B.A. in Political Economy, cum laude. In 1996, she received her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School, where she served as Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. She earned an M.S. in Regulatory Science from Johns Hopkins University, Advanced Academic Programs, in 2021. Ms. Shah has previously served as a Trial Attorney with the Office of Vaccine Litigation and the Federal Tort Claims Act Office at the U.S. Department of Justice. She was also a partner at Phillips Lytle LLP in Buffalo, New York, specializing in pharmaceutical, product liability, and other mass tort litigation, and she served as a judicial clerk for two federal district court judges. She is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Western District of New York, Washington, D.C., New York, and California.
