Darryl Wishard

Darryl Wishard is a Senior Trial Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, working in the Constitutional and Specialized Torts Branch. He works exclusively representing the Secretary of Health and Human Services in petitions filed under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. Prior to beginning his public service career with the Department of Justice in 2008, he was a trial attorney and partner in a civil litigation firm for thirteen years, and was lead counsel in numerous civil jury trials throughout Pennsylvania, chiefly defending health care providers in professional negligence claims. Earlier in his career, he served in the U.S. Army as a judge advocate and criminal prosecutor. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1985, and his Juris Doctor degree from Penn State Dickinson School of Law in 1989. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1989.
