Aniela Szymanski

Aniela is the Director of Veterans and Survivor Services at Military Officers Association of America, the nation's largest and most active association of military officers. It is an independent, nonprofit, politically nonpartisan organization with more than 380,000 members from every branch of service that advocates for a strong national defense. Aniela has practiced in the field of veterans law since she left active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps in 2009. Since that time, she has clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and practiced veterans law at one of the top veterans law firms in the country, Bergmann & Moore LLC, where she represented over 100 veterans in their appeals. She is an Adjunct Professor of Practice at William & Mary Law School where she is also a supervising attorney at The Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic. Aniela is a Marine Corps reservist and is currently assigned to the Judge Advocate Division at Headquarters Marine Corps. She has served as the President of the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Bar association and remains a member of their Board of Governors. She is a graduate of University of San Francisco School of Law, Naval Justice School, Expeditionary Warfare School, and Command and Staff College.
