Robin M. Meriweather took the oath of office on August 9, 2024, as a Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims. President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. nominated Judge Meriweather on December 19, 2023, the United States Senate confirmed her on July 11, 2024, and the President appointed her to a 15-year term on August 8, 2024. Judge Carolyn N. Lerner of the United States Court of Federal Claims administered the oath of office.

Notice of Adoption of Amendments to Rules

On June 3, 2024, the court posted notice on its website advising of proposed amendments to its rules and inviting public comment on the proposed amendments by July 18, 2024. The court hereby adopts the amendments as proposed on its website on June 3, 2024, with minor modifications based on public comments.

The Vaccine Program, as it is colloquially known, came into existence more than 30 years ago after an Act of Congress, and seeks to provide an expedited and fair means of adjudicating claims that a vaccine has caused an injury. Like the Court of Federal Claims itself, we at “OSM” are always mindful of our role as a tribunal that exists to permit citizens to bring claims against the United States. In the effort to ensure that all Vaccine Act claims receive fair consideration, we ultimately seek to serve the petitioners who bring these claims.
